Summary:This position will serve in an integral role for the continued growth of the organization. Responsibilities include management of the annual budgeting process, conducting the financial analyses, and leading the communication of financial results and processes. Responsibilities will also include providing financial and special request assistance to senior management. This is an exempt position reporting to the Controller.In this role you will:Advising and ConsultingAssists with policy making having awareness of and consideration to how policy changes can affect the organization; plans for such changes.Provides consultation, knowledge and financial data to internal and external groups, as needed, and manages and assists in the preparation of financial support schedules, as needed.Works with all levels throughout the organization to ensure an appropriate understanding of financial matters.Budgeting, Analysis and Treasury ManagementImplement and maintain an effective financial planning and analysis capability that provides senior management with appropriate tools to establish goals and measure performance of the business operations.Working with the Controller, develop annual operating plans, monthly financial and cash forecasts and ongoing analysis of actual vs. budget and/or cash forecast.Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances. Routinely communicates total organization and legal entity financial and operational performance trends using appropriate metrics.Execute processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of financial and operational performance.Execute the annual budget preparation. Work with the Controller and all areas of the organization to ensure the submission of accurate/reasonable, appropriate and timely budget data.Partner with new budget managers for training on financial and budget practices.Monitors revenue and expense budgets and cash reserves; highlights and discusses with the Controller items requiring action.Prepare cash forecast analysis to anticipate short and long-term cash needs by legal entity. Provide appropriate reporting of cash position and impacts to cash and possible funding of reserve investments.ComplianceAssists the Accounting Manager with the preparation of schedules for the annual audits including the statutory audit.Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variationsFinancial ReportingAssist the Accounting Manager, Controller or Vice President of Finance with the design and maintenance of financial reports, quarterly budget meeting materials, including actual vs. budget, and special request ad-hoc reporting.Maintain fixed assets records.Calculate allocations of expenses among the budget departments.Internal ControlsProvides guidance and value on internal control considerations when presented with policy changes, new initiatives or changing situations.Interpret and administer policies to ensure effective control of the organization’s assets.Other Job duties: Other duties that are part of the job, but are not considered essentialOther duties as requested by Finance management.The ideal candidates has the following qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance;7+ years’ experience in a Financial Analyst or similar role.Strong accounting/finance knowledge and understanding of corporate financial processes.Experience and strong ability in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Capable of presenting complex financial information in an easy to understand format.Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.Significant experience completing projects requiring individual initiative, flexibility and tight timeframes with minimal supervision.Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization and with external partners, in a highly collaborative environment.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Microsoft Dynamics skills.
