Job Summary: The Insurance Cash Application Generalist supports the Operations of the company by performing activities involved in insurance management and accounts receivable management. This position works closely with the Finance Director, the Insurance Operations Manager and, as needed, interfaces with other staff members of the company to drive revenue and manage expenses for the company. Responsibilities: Daily AR transactions (cash application, credit card processing and settlement, EFT posting, reporting...) Process write offs and bad debt adjustments Investigate misapplied payments Post insurance payments to AR by line item detail Handles discrepancies and issues with daily deposits Other duties as assigned (e.g., quarterly reporting) Minimum Requirements: 1-2 years of previous experience in cash applications required. Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity Exceptional attention to detail Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Results oriented with ability to act with sense of urgency to meet client and Operations needs Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Excellent analytical skills required. Knowledge of authorization processes and insurance trends. Ability to learn new software systems, use Word and Excel.
