Stable and growing Real Estate Development and Management Company with over $1.5 Billion in assets located close to O’Hare airport, has an opening in its Finance department. The company has experienced immense growth over the last decade and is in need of an experienced Analyst to assist with the financial analysis and reporting for over 75 properties with a staff of over 200. Responsibilities include: Perform month end close activities including preparing financial statements by reconciling bank accounts, filing taxes, etc.Review general ledger accounts for accuracyPerform monthly budget variance analysis and forecast income and expensesPrepare financial statements to distribute to internal and external auditorsProvide recommendations for improvement in processes and controls of smaller sections of the business. i.e. process for bill payment, cost saving in a certain areas, etc.Manage and oversee the quarterly financial analysis process for all portfolio loans. Conduct quarterly financial analysis for multifamily and commercial loans in the portfolioOngoing Accounting and Finance Projects assigned by supervisor; ability to take ownership of projects and leverage internal and external resources to complete project goals Job requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance4+ years’ experience in accounting or finance2+ years’ working with Financial Statement preparation and Bank RecsSolid understanding of GAAPStrong organizational and communication skillsStrong accounting, auditing, and analytical skillsExcellent ability to prioritize workExperience in recognizing, creating, and implementing timesaving strategiesPrevious experience in Property Management industry and Yardi systems is a plusIntermediate Excel skills If interested in working with a growing company that provides competitive benefits and compensation packages, please submit a resume including salary requirements.
