Description:
Responsible for providing engineering support to customers and internal organization. Additional responsibilities include product and service development as well as marketing and sales activities.

 Communicates between US and Headquarters in Japan on a regular basis.
 Work on catalog and website projects containing creation of catalog pages, technical specifications, pricing tables, dimensional tables, extensive translation and proofreading.
 Ensure compliance to quality and work with the customer service and procurement on quality claims.
 Meet or talk with customers in regards to quality claims.
 Work with suppliers on corrective actions for nonconforming products.
 Work with customers on establishing the required specifications for potential new product.
 When developing new product, work with suppliers on manufacturing requirements, packaging, pricing, delivery, workflow, and first article inspection when needed.
 Assist Procurement department in other vendor maintenance and research.
 Help with maintaining and development of company website.
 Work with CAD suppliers and solve quality issues with CAD data
 On occasions help verify the new CAD data created by CAD vendor.
 Work on special quotations for customers requiring components outside the catalog specifications.
 Review quote requests and decide manufacturing feasibility as well as prepare and submit requests.
 Help customers expedite manufacturing in special cases.
 Answer customer phone calls/emails regarding technical support, orders, and quotes for products, services, and websites.
 Work with customers and create cross references for products.
 Provide help to the sales personnel regarding technical issues, customer support, and promotional activities.
 Visit, support, and promote to help maintain and grow accounts.
 Present products and services at Lunch and Learns and help with technical aspects.
 Sometimes may be a part of periodical inventory process at warehouses (QCT centers).
 Occasionally perform quality inspections on returned or stock items.
 Help proofread or create technical/marketing materials, brochures, emails, and web content.
 Internal Training – Create and present training material to Sales, Customer Service, Inside Sales and other internal groups.
 Writing Articles and Blogs about the company that can be published are always encouraged.
 Create presentation materials and present for Customer Visits, Trade Shows, Seminars, and Webinars.
 May be involved in Tariff code setting for new and existing products
 Required to create technical entries to Engineering Blogs on website and third parties.
 Travel 1-4 days average per month.
 Other duties like product, customer search, inspection, quoting as requested by Manager.
 Perform in depth market research for products, customers, services, pricing, material trends, and other market information.
 Manage multiple projects and assignments individually or as a project leader.
 Initiate, design, and execute improvements to products, services, or promotional activities.
 Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Robotics, Automation, or Industrial Engineering.
 1 to 5 years of design and/or business development experience.
 Familiarity with Automation or Assembly equipment and industry.
 Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English.
 Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
 Knowledge of either Solidworks or other 3D programs
 Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint
 Great problem solving skills, initiative, creativity, and desire to grow business.
 Highly motivated, driven, responsible, possess leadership, and results oriented.
