Come visit our shelter. Smoky is 2 years old and he is an example of several American long hair cats that we have at the shelter in the incredible 5-star cat hotel known as the cat room. They come in every imaginable color, so why don't you come in and pick your favorite one. Typically, American short hair cats are sociable, affectionate and sedate. They are are usually easygoing and able to blend into any home. If you're a cat lover, then this people lover cat is for you! We have a large number of adoptable cats, ranging from kittens to seniors. And don’t worry about making a decision among your many possible choices of cats. Remember the old adage: “You don’t pick your cat; your cat will pick you!”
When you adopt a pet from Orphans of the Storm you enter into a commitment and agreement to care emotionally and financially for a feeling, sensitive animal for its lifetime. To be considered as an adopter for one of our dogs or cats, you must be 21 years of age, have the approval of all adult household members, have a valid I.D. with current address, and, if applicable, have landlord’s name, phone number and particulars of lease. Basic adoption fee is $90, which includes spay/neuter, leash, collar and various vaccinations, first distemper, general worming, and flea and tick treatment (Bordetella for dogs and Felomune CVR for cats). In addition all cats are tested for FELV and FIV. There will be additional fees for dogs or cats that need to be brought up-to-date on their vaccinations. Payment must be made in cash or by credit card.
Orphans of the Storm is open 11am - 5pm every day except major holidays. Please see our website to view additional animals available for adoption.
