PURPOSE: Perform non-routine and complex activities requiring expertise in many aspects of mechanical engineering. Conducts work to assist and support the Kiosk Department in the procurement, design, development, testing and assembly of kiosk while supporting overall company goals and objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate’s Degree or High school degree with progressive experience as a mechanical engineering technician in a manufacturing and assembly environment.Experience: Minimum one to five years of broad based manufacturing experience. Skills/Abilities: Effective communicative and writing skillsAttention to details, Strong organizational skills & ability to prioritize Able to follow direction and drive projects with minimal supervision Strong Technical aptitude PC computer operational skills 3D modeling software experience (Solidworks preferred) Some heavy lifting (up to 75lb)ESSENTIAL RESULTS:Effectively direct, train & oversee kiosk assemblers/packers.Perform initial 1st piece, middle & last piece inspection of assemblies & finished goods.Increases productivity of department by following guidelines and work related procedures.Maintain production rates as outlined on the shop order.Enter daily Labor Transactions Material Issues and Receipts into computer system.Maintain proper flow of work orders & ensure hot orders are packed first.Effectively communicate with Pack-line Coordinator, Supervisor/Manager, Material Handler, Control Desk Clerk & Quality.Monitor the work effort of packers/assemblers and reports any issuesMaintain & promote a safe, organized and clean work environment by complying with Peerless-AV procedures & policies.Identify methods to improve material handling and control in the department.Verify components & inventory is properly identified with status and stocked in the correct locations.Work closely with Quality to communicate any issues, participate in Root Cause analysis and corrective action, provide feedback, collect & document necessary information related to Non-conforming product.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Ability to lead projects of limited scope and impact or portions of a major project.Other duties as assigned.
