RESPONSIBILITIES:Complete service schedules including routine servicing and inspection.Perform inspections including visual and functional testing on fire detection systems and field devices in accordance with all national and local standards.Follow a structured inspection schedule.Maintain complete and accurate documentation of tests performed.Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.Respond to service calls (on-site and emergency).Provide assistance with troubleshooting techniques, and performs repairs as directed.Assist with installing new fire life safety systems and wiring techniques.Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 2 years’ experience in service, installation, inspections in the fire alarm industry.Knowledge of fire alarm circuitry, associated low voltage systems and basic fire alarm maintenance capabilities is a plus.Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes.Ability to work in a variety of circumstances including climbing ladders, scaffolds and high-lift equipment as well as working in ducts, crawl spaces and above ceilings.Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, tasks, and duties.Ability to complete assigned tasks and special projects with minimal supervision or direction.Basic knowledge of AC/DC circuitry / associated low voltage systems preferred.Must be able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.Must be able to work a rotating on call schedule, alternative shifts or work nights.Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements.Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
