As we continue our fast-paced growth, we are seeking a second or third shift Maintenance Technician to learn all of our equipment and electrical systems to perform, building, machine, and electrical maintenance.Applicant should be a team-leader and self-starter with great mechanical and electrical reasoning skills, who is willing to perform a dynamic set of tasksDaily duties will include bending and installing conduit, pulling wire, connecting machinery, and creating material lists for small projects in a clean manufacturing environmentAbility to read and understand building electrical diagrams/schematicsAbility to read and understand electrical control diagrams, and use for effective troubleshootingUnderstanding of electrical safety practices and lock out tag out proceduresAbility to bend and install conduit up to 1” using hand benders proficientlyExcellent mechanical aptitude; candidates will need to pass a Mechanical Reasoning assessmentAbility to clearly communicate issues for over the phone support and troubleshootingWilling to perform a dynamic set of basic maintenance tasks ranging from general building maintenance, electrical, and mechanical maintenance, HVAC maintenance and other maintenance and repair tasks as neededLifting of up to 75lbsBasic computer skills, and willingness to learn Web Based CMMS software for preventative maintenanceAbility to work overhead, on the ground, or in tight spaces as neededWillingness to learn, and attend continuing education classes related to the fieldMust be available for occasional SaturdaysMust have reliable transportation- must be able to be insurable under company vehiclesMust be willing to be on call one week per monthApplicant may be subject to background test and/or drug screeningPreferred experience:Manufacturing environment in AIB or Food related manufacturing environmentsExperience in printing or converting environmentsExperience with PLC’s – troubleshooting/ programmingRequirements:High school or equivalent3+ yrs. experienceTrade School/ Apprenticeship (if no verifiable manufacturing electrical experience)Prospective employee will be required to demonstrate hands on the ability to bend conduit up to 1”Prospective employee will be required to take on site “closed book” electrical basics examination to demonstrate and understanding of electrical controls and troubleshootingEagle Flexible Packaging offers a competitive salary and a strong benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, long term disability,401K with company match, and paid vacation
