Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Independently perform all job duties of machine operation with little or no instruction required such as:Machine startupAdjust tooling to maintain proper sizesReplace broken or worn toolingIdentify non-functioning safety equipment or unsafe conditionsConduct daily preventative maintenance checks to include proper coolant levels, filters, fan operation, cleans the machine as needed, etc.Secures all tooling and instruments required (Doc # PQ01F02)Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.Identify and recognize necessary tooling required using ANSI/ISO Tooling Nomenclature. Directs or leads the work of others within department when required to by supervisor or lead personnel.Trains and/or assists department employees as to machine operation, procedures and safety guidelines.Visually and dimensionally inspects production parts for any defects. Verify conformance of work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and go-no-go gauges. Submits parts to Inspection Department for first piece approval.Reads and interprets blueprints and Job travelers for such information as dimensions and tolerances (i.e. GD&T), job rate, sequence of operation, etc.Establishes, verifies and maintains the production rate as indicated on the Job Traveler and reports.Understands and follows Prince Industries quality certifications. i.e. ISO, QS.Completes necessary job related paperwork to include tags, inspection documents production log, etc.Responsible for maintaining the quality, protection and storage of the completed product Ex: layer packing, rust preventative oils, box weight, etc.Troubleshoots and makes adjustments to equipment as needed for problem resolution.Required to use statistical process control techniques and evaluate SPC charts for process control determinationProficient in the use of basic inspection equipment. Including height gauge optical comparator, surface finish tester, bore gauges, etc.Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.Additional Requirements: Machines: Citizen and TsugamiAbility to quickly use the control panel to do offsets and edits on the above mentioned machines.Minimum of 5 years of experience on the the above mentioned machines.Strong work ethic: Willing to work OT to meet tight deadlines regularly.Tolerance: Ability to machine parts to +/- 0.0005” for diameter and +/- 0.001” for length. Education Requirements:High school diploma or GEDSalary Range: $18.00 - $24.00 hour (Additional $3.00 shift premium on top of base rate for Setup Roles). Full Time, Direct Hire RoleStandard Hours:6:00 PM - 4:30 AM, Monday - ThursdayWilling to work OT as needed, such as Fridays and extended hours beyond shift.
