OverviewThe Safety Technician monitors the project site to ensure construction project safety. The Safety Technician is a salaried position at an industry-leading construction company.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for the position include, but won’t be limited to, the following:Analyzing the safety performance of work performedunderstanding laws and regulations pertaining to OSHAconducting job inspections of construction areasidentifying, documenting and recommending resolution of hazardous and potentially hazardous conditionsconfirming corrections have been made to hazardous and potentially hazardous conditionsinvestigating property damage and personal injury accidentsassisting in conducting employee and insurance inspectionsassisting in emergency rescues as requiredassisting in maintaining fire protection and grounding systemscompiling data, photographs, pertinent forms and reports, as well as conducting employee interviews associated with accidentsconducting industrial hygiene samples to ensure safe working conditions Requirements and SkillsCompleted the 145 hour construction site safety training Minimum of 3 years safety experience.Thorough understanding of federal, state and local regulationsAbility to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measuresGood interpersonal and communication skills.
