We have an immediate need for a Quality Manager who will be based at our world headquarters in Franklin Park, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for the overall management, development and implementation of quality systems, programs and policies at our Franklin Park, Il operation.Manages daily quality activities and interactions with depts and other locations to ensure products and process comply to specifications, standards and requirements including local, state, national and international regulatory requirements. Champions continuous improvement towards quality performance to meet specifications leading to increasing customer satisfaction.Responsibilites:Plans, directs and administers quality programs, policies, procedures, standards, records and systems at the Franklin Park operation.Directs quality assurance activities including verification and conformance to print/process specifications of manufactured and assembled parts along with parts/services performed by suppliers.Collaborates with internal departments including engineering, manufacturing, sustaining engineering, supply chain, and technical services to investigate customer quality complaints. Sets up and performs experiments, inspections and analysis allowing for data driven decisions and corrective action. These include placing product on hold, recall and/or redesign product or process.Develops, monitors and analyzes customer returns, internal defects, test yields, scrap and other non-conforming conditions relating to product, process or systems followed by recommended corrective and preventative measures or actions.Actively champions company-wide improvement activities to reduce waste, increase yield and improve customer satisfaction.Manages a team of quality engineers, hourly Inspectors and lab technicians engaged. Hires, promotes, evaluates and enforce company rules as necessary.Coordinates product/process audits and facilitates compliance to system, product or process certification through third party regulatory organizations. Recommends corrective and preventative measures in response to non-conformances or discrepancies.Reports quality KPI's to executive management, along with mfg supervisors and hourly employees. Lead efforts to identify high impact reoccurring issues and effective corrective actions.Plans, directs and facilitates QC plumbing lab and chemical lab testing to verify day to day product and process conformance to specifications while investigating opportunities for improvement.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, technology or related discipline. Masters preferred.Minimum of 5 -8 years experience in quality management preferably within a union manufacturing operation as a supervisor, quality engineer, reliability engineer, or quality control/inspection.Experience developing and leading teams in a lean environment. Strong analytical and analysis skills.Demonstrated skills in problem solving along with strong time management. Ability to handle multiple priorities. ASQ Certification, Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
