POSITIONThe Receptionist will be handling incoming calls, greeting guests and enforcing the security procedures for guest or vendor on-site visits. The person will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries via phone, fax or email. They will work closely with all departments to prepare letters, documents and reports. He or she will maintain conference room schedules and make arrangements as requested. They will verify activations and process replacement orders as needed.QUALIFICATIONSRequired qualifications, with or without reasonable accommodation:Experience and confidence using a computer and keyboard; understanding of general clerical and administrative proceduresAble to read, write and speak English fluently; employee will need to communicate with all departments and SVM’s customers while performing the duties of the positionStrong verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service skillsDependable, punctual and detail orientedAble to work independently; self-starterAbility to perform basic math functions including, but not limited to, addition, subtraction and multiplicationPreferred qualifications:Working knowledge of VCnetAbility to use and navigate Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and OutlookThree (3) years of customer service or similar experiencePHYSICALMust be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50% of the time; needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer; frequently communicates with staff and vendors; must be able to see close objects including, but not limited to, computer screens and written reports.
