Our client (who we have worked with for 20 years) is a nearly 100 year old manufacturing company located near Chicago that has been profitable for over 40 consecutive years. Their products include various types of electronic technology that is often used in IT applications. Sales worldwide are between $200MM and $600MM and products are sold via every method you can name...direct, reps, distribution, etailers. A 20 year member of the team decided to live her dream which involved leaving the company and moving to a different area. As a result, this Director of Sales role is available. Specifically, the Director will be in charge of all of their business operations relating to sales via major distributors, including Tech Data, Ingram Micro, D&H, Synnex and others of that sort. Although the title is Director of Sales, the function is truly a "Business Unit Manager" as heavy emphasis will be placed on day to day operations and business management aspect of things rather than meeting and greeting.
