The Construction Manager is located around the Chicago, IL area. Candidate will coordinate daily activities with client personnel and interface daily with client Vendors, General Contractors and Sub-Contractors. If working around live Network Data Center environments gets you excited and you have the skills required to complete complex telecommunication construction projects, this opportunity may be for you. Telecommunications experience is required.Position Responsibilities:· Implement and understand the described construction scope of work which is a HVAC replacement project. · PROJECT WORK HOURS: Some work during the Maintenance Window 10PM to 6AM. The position requires management of subcontractors in critical areas of a Data Center. SHIFT WORK WILL BE REQUIRED· Monitor staffing requirements are achieved and meeting expectations.· Manage, process and ensure compliance with the following items· Clarifications· RFIs· ASIs· Submittals· Change Orders· Provide assurance that the construction is in compliance with the plans and specifications.· Act as client’s representative for compliance with network design standards.· Document each day’s activities with “Daily Activity Report” to be distributed to client.· Participate in weekly OAC meetings.· Participate in weekly Sub-Contractor coordination meetings.· Monitor status of MOPs, RFI’s and Submittals.· Photograph project events to document progress and/or issues.· Prepare and submit Monthly project status update report. Required Skills:· 5-10 years Construction Management Experience· 5-10 Project Management Experience· Must have extensive experience with Data Center Systems· Must have experience working in the maintenance window· Must understand Change Management Process· Telecommunications Project Experience – Data Center, Mobile Switching Centers, Central Office environment.· Working understanding of Building Architecture, Mechanical, Building Automation System (BAS) Electrical, Structural and Fire Protection.
