Job DescriptionThe Global Trade Compliance Analyst is primarily responsible for partnering with the Trade Compliance Manager in the implementation and execution of appropriate policies, strategies, and procedures to enhance the company’s global import and export compliance program and to conduct operational activities as needed. · Conduct post entry import audits· Import Filing/Record keeping· Importation Fee Quotation and Country of Origin Impact Analysis/SCIRPS· Interface with supply base and customer base on compliance issues.· Assists sourcing/supply chain with any problems that may arise with the import or export of any shipment· Coordinates release of shipments with the broker, carrier, CBP and any other government agencies· Prepares responses to CBP request and notices· Resolves errors found on entry summaries with brokers· Corresponds with foreign vendors and purchasing department to obtain documents and information necessary for CBP import clearance· Maintains databases and reports for the department including KPI’s· Provides project management support throughout the department· Generate duty drawback reports· Identify cost savings opportunities· Manage, direct and evaluate the work of designated customs brokers· Monitor country of origin markingRequired Skills· Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams· Strong organizational and analytic skills· Excellent understanding and application of classification rules and free trade agreement requirements· Ability to analyze and make recommendations using various resources, metrics, and information available.· Excellent oral and written skills X· Ability to work independently without daily oversightRequired Experience· BA/BS degree and experience working directly with global import and export regulations required.· Certified Customs Specialist / Certified Export Specialist certification required or to be obtained within 2 years· Minimum 3-5 experience with Trade Compliance including minimum 2 years related Import and Export experience· Compliance experience with Importer/Exporter preferred
