Senior Demand Planner Description: Consumer products manufacturer located in the South Chicago suburbs is looking for an intelligent, self- motivated, and analytical Senior Demand Planner that can quickly grow into a Demand Planning Manager. If you have experience as a Senior Demand Planner and on track to becoming a manager but tired of not being promoted then send us your resume and we will get your career to the next level.Responsibilities:Create, develop and maintain a demand plan for key categories across multiple business units and distribution facilitiesUse forecasting software to generate statistical forecasts of customer demandLead and own the S&OP discussion from a demand/forecasting perspectiveResponsible for facilitating a process to obtain forecast inputs from other departments including Finance and Business Management to provide best forecasts and convert them into demand plans that drive the supply chain planning processMonitor business unit promotions, events and market conditions to ensure accurate demand plansDevelop, monitor and communicate reports on forecast accuracy to Business Unit and Supply Chain organizationsRequirements:Bachelors Degree required, ideally in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar. MBA, Masters, SCCP or APICS certification preferredMust be in a similar role to demand planner / forecast analyst within a manufacturing environment. Ideally in a chemicals, foods or consumer goods. Ideally experience working with perishable products.3-7 years of experience in a true Demand Planning roleIdeally should have a through understanding and experience in a functional supply chain area such as demand planning, inventory control, forecasting etc.Must have strong systems experience including Microsoft office (Excel & Access), MRP or ERP softwareSAP, SAP-APO, Oracle, Manugistics, Demand Solutions or Demandtra experience preferredS&OP experience; ability to implement and own the process.Strong communication, good negotiation skills and excellent leadership skillsIndividual must be analytical, self-motivated and have a go-getter personality
