Margaret Fagerstrom, born 1918, was given this piece of furniture as a bon voyage gift before she emigrated to the United States. She came to the US in the 1920's and died in 1998. The Fagerstrom clan all originate in Arvika, Sweden. This piece was made sometime in the 1800's or earlier.
Alan Kaminski, Margaret's son, took this piece to The Antique Road Show when it was on tour in Illinois 5-8 years ago. The Keno twins valued this piece in the range of $1400-1800.
This piece needs some restoring to bring it to its original craftsmanship.
But it is built very solidly and is structurely sound.
