Job Description The Junior System Administrator role is focused fully on supporting internal systems and services provided to employees. Those services comprise of (but are not limited to) LAN/WAN Networks, Server and Storage Infrastructure, Virtualization, Databases, Desk side / Remote PC Support, Avaya Office Phone Systems, Videoconferencing facilities, e-mail, and Collaboration tools. The group has been going through a period of transformation, of which this role is a significant part. The candidate will work in the Corporate - Productivity Support Team. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, be highly presentable and will be required to be flexible in working hours. The company has been growing significantly over the past ten years and that has included many acquisitions. The Personnel and Corporate Systems from those acquisitions, must be integrated into the cross business unit team, in order to continue building their 24x7 follow the sun support model. Key ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will work in the Corporate - Productivity Support Team and will be expected to perform the following duties:Responding to users queries in an efficient, timely and service oriented manner and so as to deal with their issues.Acquiring and commissioning Laptops, Desktops, Servers, Projectors, Phones and other equipment required by the Users.Building and supporting desktop and laptops within the company both Windows and Macs.There is no regular travel requirement in the role, although occasional trips within the UK and abroad would be required.Experience with desktops and servers.Good knowledge of Active Directory, security policies and DNSNetworking knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers and security systems.Communicate with users on the status of support casesPerforming scheduled audits , product testing, maintenance and security checksProvide application support e.g. MS Office, Outlook Required Skills & Experience Solid skills in Windows (client and server) operating systems, MS office, Networking, Microsoft Office.Hands-on experience with Active Directory, TCP/IP and DNS· Excellent verbal and written presentation skills with a track record of delivering documents.· Experience in delivering solutions in a secure and compliant environment is a plus.· Process-oriented mind and strong organizational skills are required for the role.· Experience in operating heterogeneous systems, multi-cultural environment.· Excellent Global Team Worker. Must be able to work with distributed team across different time zones.
