Pony - Charlie - Small - Senior - Male - Horse
Charlie came to Casey's Safe Haven in May 2011. He was very thin and terrified of every little movement around him. After a year of good food, plenty of patience, being treated with love and respect - he is trusting humans again and ready to find his permanent home as a pasture buddy for some lucky family. Charlie spent his life working the "wheel", giving kids pony rides for approximately 25 years. He is a beautiful dark bay pony, completely sound and healthy and looking to keep some horses or ponies company. He now loves to be groomed but still needs a family who can uderstand the fears he had, as they can still show up a little now and then. We are looking for a cozy private home where he can spend the rest of his life. He would not do well being boarded - he needs a quiet environment. He gets along well with all other horses and does well for the vet and farrier. If you are interested in Charlie please contact Casey's at 815-762-1983.
