Summary of Duties: Responsible for managing multiple client accounts. Responsible for submitting claims and following up with insurance companies. Problem solving for various payers, including HMO, Medicaid, Medicare and private pay.Supervision Received: Reports to SupervisorEssential Functions:Prepares and submits clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.Answers questions from patients, staff and insurance companies.Identifies and resolves billing complaints or issues.Reviews accounts for possible issues and makes recommendations to the Billing Supervisor.Performs various actions to keep accounts in good standing, including contacting patients by phone and correcting and resubmitting claims to payers.Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.Skills/Experience:Knowledge of medical billing practices.Knowledge of basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.Knowledge of basic medical codingAbility to operate a computer and basic office equipment.Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.Must be well organized and detail-oriented.Experience in medical billing or related coursework.Send Resume and Salary Requirements for consideration.Education:High school diploma or equivalent.College graduate or related coursework, degree not required.Health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and retirement plan with match.Please send resume and salary requirements for consideration.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
