Description Job Title: Sourcing Manager- Personal Creations Department: Merchandise Produce Management- Personal Creations Purpose of Position: The Sourcing Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper delivery of direct import product buys as well as foreign agent and vendor management for Personal Creations. The successful candidate has a demonstrated ability to operate effectively at the strategic and tactical levels to drive outstanding results, has 5 years of successive Asian direct sourcing responsibility, and experience working in a fast paced retail environment. Success is achieved by partnering with key internal partners and key vendors and agents to meet specified metrics and support increased sales across various merchandise categories. The position supports the business in the critical and time sensitive mission of implementing the strategic sourcing and quality vision for two distinct gifting brands. The candidate must possess the highest level of integrity and character Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage overseas product development projects so that all project metrics are achieved or exceeded.Partners with Merchandising, Quality Assurance, and Operations to determine merchandise specifications, timelines and quantities in support of personalized products that drive profitable revenue. Works with Inventory Planning to ensure adequate capacity for holiday and non- holiday needs, taking into consideration lead-times and transit times while maximizing Cost Of Goods savings and minimizing inventory liability.Monitor and manage seasonal product development and production to ensure on-time, profitable delivery of all purchase orders to the company calendar. Serve and at times lead cross-functional teams regarding strategic sourcing initiatives, partnering with internal customers to identify new sourcing opportunities. Track and manage various departmental reports including, seasonal metrics, vendor scorecards and cost analysis and landed cost. Manage vendors and agents; work with current and competitive vendors to achieve the best prices and practices for the company by anticipating and adapting based on changing market conditions; lead negotiations; coordinate vendor meetings.Intervene and resolve major vendor issues in coordination with businesses, functional staff, users and management. Responsible for negotiating product costs with buying agents and vendors and maintaining relationships with several existing vendors and suppliers, subject to approval by Director Sourcing/Quality Assurance.
